Media Statement from FWHA Regarding Federal Funding of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Public Housing Funding Programs

The funding received under the current continuing resolution (CR) will provide FWHA and public housing agencies throughout the country with the necessary funding to cover Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) disbursements and administrative fees through the end of April. Additionally, the CR has provided us with sufficient resources to make funds available for the FWHA Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) renewal allocations through April.

Also, the funding received under the CR, will provide FWHA with operating dollars for our Public Housing programs through the end of May. FWHA will be providing regular budget updates to HUD to ensure we are funded properly and have the ability to maintain the resources needed to accommodate our residents, landlords and stakeholders.
