River Cove

River Cove is comprised of 75 family units ranging from one-bedroom units to four-bedroom units. Some of River Cove’s amenities include paid water, community room, on-site childcare and on-site Boys & Girls Club.

The on-site childcare is provided by Community Action of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (CANI) through the Head Start Program.  This is a comprehensive child development program for 3-5 year old children of the community.  Head Start includes early childhood learning experiences for 3 1/2 hours a day in the morning or the afternoon.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne offer numerous club programs to the children of the River Cove Community.  The five core areas focused on are character and leadership’ education and career, health and life skills, arts, and sports, fitness and recreation.  Club Programs include: Project Learn, SMART Girls, Act SMART, Keystone Club, Torch Club, Job Ready, Career Explorer, Intramural Sports League and Youth of the Year.
