Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program

FSS is a program that helps you increase your earned income, reach your long-term goals and reduce your need for welfare assistance and rental subsidies.

Fresh Start Enrichment (FSEP) Program

FWHA has a goal-based incentive program for stepped-rent households. The Fresh Start Enrichment Program (FSEP) is available to Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Public Housing (PH) program participants who are a part of the stepped-rent demonstration.

Homeownership Assistance (HOA) Program

The Homeownership program allows families that are assisted under the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) the opportunity to use their voucher to purchase a home. The program is limited to first-time homeowners who have received housing counseling and meet the minimum income requirement.

Community Resources

The FWHA has created a unique center for property managers and residents to get information about the programs and resources in the Fort Wayne Community. Workshops, classes, and special events are also available for more in-depth or hands-on instructions.

YouthBuild Academy

The Fort Wayne Housing Authority YouthBuild is a free program that provides leadership, education, and occupational skill development for local youth ages 16 -24 who have not completed/graduated high school. The program lasts six months with one year of follow-up and case management.

Jobs Plus

The purpose of the Jobs Plus Initiative program is to develop locally based, job-driven approaches to increase earnings and advance employment outcomes through work readiness, employer linkages, job placement, educational advancement technology skills, and financial literacy for residents of Brookmill and Tall Oaks apartments.
