Martha Ademassu was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. At the age of fourteen, she moved to Cologne, Germany to pursue a better education. She learned German and was able to graduate high school. After graduation she attended a two year Retail Business School (Einzelhandels Berufschule) and received a certification. She worked in Germany for various retail stores and gained excellent inter-cultural customer service skills.
In 2006, Martha had an opportunity to move to Seattle, Washington. She attended Central Washington University and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minor in Computer Applications. She worked for US bank and completed an internship program at Panasonic Avionics as a Tax Accountant.
Martha has a passion to help others. In 2011 she volunteered for United Way as Tax Preparer. In 2012 Martha moved back to Ethiopia and worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for a non-profit organization. During her stay she volunteered for a charity called Give Hope Ethiopia, which helps children to grow and reach their potential through sponsorship program. She helped with their accounting process and was involved in the setup of scheduled events.
Martha moved to Fort Wayne, IN at the end of 2015 to be with family. She currently works as an accountant and is responsible for the daily transactions related to Affordable Housing.
