Brenda R. Majors is a the Social Service Coordinator for Fort Wayne Housing Authority. Her first work experience was at the age of 12 and she was a paper girl delivering newspaper and she has been working ever since. She has worked in the Social Service arena for 29 years at Park Center, YWCA Women’s Shelter, Allen County Police Department, Lutheran Social Service of IN., Wieland Furniture Factory, SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect Now), Fort Wayne Women’s Bureau, Whittington Homes, Managed Health Services, and Fort Wayne Housing Authority. Her love is empowering every member of a family to walk in their destiny.
She’s a graduate from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. with a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice. During her college years she received most valuable player in rugby for two years, yellow belt in karate, trophy in Judo, tournament winner in racket ball, etc. She returned back to school from 2010-2012 to receive a certificate in Supervisor Leadership from the school of Purdue in the department of Organizational Leadership. She has 4 children, Antwon Lockett, Aaron Majors, Nissa Majors, and Abram Majors. She’s a proud grandmother of 10 ranging from the ages of 3-29. She’s very active in my church and is an ordained Evangelist. She recently received an award from the Alcohol and Drug Consortium for Group Leader of the year. She’s a secretary on the board of Caring About People and has received numerous trainings and awards in the social service and church arena.
